Goodbye to a Dear Dear Man!

Yesterday my Grandpa returned Home. I am sure greeted eagerly by his parents, and parents-in-law, his Son Alan & Daughter-in-Law Deanna and certainly his grandson, my sweet Dawson, among others I am sure.

This was the last time they were with each other in this earthly life. Just days before Dawson passed away. Both feeling sick, both bodies ready to give out, both Spirits soon to be reunited in a very glorious way. I feel that Dawson was glad to see Grandpa and vice versa. Grandpa hugged him for me. I am certain.

Grandpa will be so painfully missed. He had an enormous presence. Once you were with him you found yourself never wanting to leave. He loved us all completely. Not only did we all feel and know that, but we all act under the example set, by loving each other. We are a tight crew, this Hardy bunch. Lots and Lots of love, all because of the example set by my Grandpa and Grandma.

Surely Grandma will need our prayers. After 60 years of marriage she, I am certain, will feel very much alone. However, she is not. She is surrounded by a family that honors and loves her. She is a strong woman. A wonderful mother and a loving and caring grandmother and great-grandmother. We will remind her daily of how much we all love her and we will support and help her through.

Thank you Grandpa for being a true patriarch and teaching all of us valuable lessons of work and love.
We love you and wait anxiously for when we are all reunited!

I LOVE YOU!

Oh Amy, I feel as if my own heart is breaking for you again. What a sweet man your grandpa is. I feel like I know him. :o) I'm sure you can just imagine that reunion with your sweet little boy and wonderful grandpa. Makes you just anxious for the day we all get to have such reunions with loved ones who've gone before us. What a wonderful day that will be. Love you guys and thinking of you as always.

Amy,
I do remember you and I think of you often. I've thought of you every time I use stamps to scrapbook. :) I have thought of you especially in the last few days as my mom reminded me of you and Dawson and the struggles you have gone through. Thank you for your kind words. I know that your story and your experiences have touched many lives. I know that mine has too. While we are suffering and sorrowing I know that hearts are changing and testimonies are growing. I am sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I am glad that we are blessed with the Gospel to comfort us in these times. I, too, know that he is with your little boy and that they will take care of you and Grandma from the other side.
