On Saturday we invited some friends over for a Bar-B-Q. It was SO yummy and SO fun! The Hill's, Petzingers & Wallentines were in attendance! I love these guys so much! When they were gone I thought about how grateful I am to have such great and fun friends! Thanks for coming you guys! We are totally going to have to do this again!
Pictures of some of the fun will come tomorrow. However, I thought I might tempt your taste buds with these babies. This recipe comes from my Mom. It is SO easy and they are delicious....this coming from a girl that doesn't even like bread! Maybe it is the cheese?! :)
ITALIAN CHEESE TWISTS
Grab a Rhoades "Loaf" (I didn't have the loaf so I used the regular rolls and just rolled them all together).
Thaw and let it rise.
Now roll it out on a floured surface.
Sprinkle with Italian Seasoning and Garlic Salt. I was quite liberal with the seasonings, but I like it that way.

Now sprinkle with grated Cheddar & Mozzarella cheese. I like it a little more cheesy. I am not giving measurements, just do what looks right to you!
Then roll it up like a snake and cut into thin slices.
Twist each slice and place on a lightly sprayed cookie sheet.
Cover and let rise for about 30 min. or until they are about double in size.
Cook at 375 for 10-15 min. or until done. Really, don't worry about the cheese getting a little brown. There is nothing worse than under cooked bread! YUCK! Ok, that is personal opinion, but really....YUCK!
Enjoy!
That last picture is the last of what my camera will give me. I am afraid....and gleeful, that there is a new camera in my near future!

Those do look delicious. I will be trying them. And what the heck you don't like bread? That is like my biggest vice that and chocolate=)
Weird huh?! I know! There are certain types that I do like. I like Davinci's bread! YUM! And Cheesecake Factory's brown bread is divine! The kinds I do like are few and far between. No bagged/sliced bread! ICK!
I need to make you some of my Hawaiian bread...it's YUM! You won't even have to pretend to like it if you don't want to! haha. These cheese twists were yummy. I'm totally making these next time I make bread!
Who needs a cookbook with your blog around? Love it!
That looks so good Amy... YUM. I will make that for sure. Your dad will love it. Bread and cheese, both of our vices.
Love you, Sondi
