My friend LINDSEY posted two videos on her blog that really got me thinking, and even a little teary, today!
So today, because I am still having technical difficulties with my camera linking to my computer since my whole deleting everything mishap, I wanted to share 3 of today's LIFE LESSONS....things that motivate and cause me to look closer at myself. Today I feel motivated to be BETTER! It will take you about 13 min or so to get through all three, but I guarantee you won't regret a second of it!
(Oh and you are going to want to pause the music! Sorry! Scroll down, it is on the right.)
LIFE LESSON #1: Laugh More!
I LOVE to laugh! I LOVE that my Ryan makes me laugh ALL THE TIME! I LOVE those moments when I am playing with the kids and we just laugh together! Laughing makes people feel better! If you are not laughing at least a few times per day...LIGHTEN UP! Enjoy life! HAVE FUN!
This came from my bro in law, Jared. It's not inspiring like the next two, just funny! So enjoy and laugh a little!
LIFE LESSON #2: Brighten Someone Else's Day/Stop & Smell the Roses
If we have the opportunity to make someone smile TAKE IT! Sometimes I get too caught up in my busy life and I don't really look around and enjoy the small things. I should start noticing them and help others do the same! Forget about my comfort zone and lift someone up!
When I watched this I thought I TOTALLY would have jumped right in and joined the group! Sure, I wouldn't know what I was doing, but I would improvise and have a BLAST!
How often do we stand on the sidelines because we are afraid we will look dumb?! Too much, I say! Have fun! Don't worry so much about what others think!
Oh and now I MUST make time to watch SOUND OF MUSIC today!
I think this is what it would be like if life were really a Musical!
LIFE LESSON #3: Don't Judge ANYONE/Believe EVERYONE is capable of AMAZING-NESS/Don't let ANYTHING stop you from accomplishing your dreams!
Can you imagine what it would be like if we truly looked for the good in everyone and we were capable of looking past the "bad"?! Sometimes I get so caught up in the negative. I hate that feeling. I limit others by what I think they are capable of. How HORRIBLE is that! I don't do it all the time, but often enough that it bothers me. This is TRULY a case in point! The remark made by the female judge cut right to the center of it! I LOVED this!
Now another thing to learn from this woman is that she NEVER stopped going for what she wanted most! Nothing could stop her! It totally made me think about how often I DON'T do something because I am overwhelmed by my own insecurities! We are totally capable of accomplishing anything we believe we can! So just believe you can and forget the rest!
This one you can't embed, so just click the link below, then come back! :) Don't miss this one!
There now! I hope you all feel a little lifted! Thanks Lindsey! You totally made my day today!

I don't know why but that made me cry. I love it. Thanks Aim, for putting things into perspective for me.
Wow! Thanks for the shout-out! I'm just glad that people were as touched by them as I was and I wasn't the only one sobbing! However, the Life Lessons that YOU wrote are what put things in perspective!
Amy, you're the best! Man, why do you have to live all the way in Idaho! LOL Thanks so much!
Amy, you always inspire me. I was having a really bad day and this made me smile and turned it around. I need to hear things like this because I sometimes focus on the negative. It's such a bad trait. Thanks for lifting me up..
Love you,
Sondi
Why do YOU have to live all the way in Utah Melissa? Gee whiz. And by the way Sondi, Amy will tell you that I am by far the most negative person...ever. Which is why she has to practice so hard at being positive. Her positivity buys me plenty of negativity...
