{MONDAYS MENU} Entering the World of **GIVEAWAYS**

OH am I ever excited about this! My plan WAS to give you some fabulous recipe for Cranberry Sauce that would change your Thanksgiving, as you know it, FOREVER! It is that good!
However, with the circumstances of our Hospital visit I decided instead that I would enter the world of GIVEAWAYS and offer 3 of you this:
This basket includes:
  • A coupon for FREE Progresso Broth
  • A recipe card holder
  • Recipe box
  • Wicker basket
  • As well as a set of serving spoons and a spoon rest.

HOW FUN IS THAT?!

I think I go through Chicken Broth like most people go through milk! I use it in so much! Cooking pasta & rice in it to add more flavor, base for soups, and for those of you none-winers, wine in any recipe can easily be substituted with chicken broth! The possibilities are endless.

AND NOW A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR, JUST IN CASE YOU NEED MORE CONVINCING...

"Progresso is making it easier to create your favorite holiday recipes with the introduction of all-natural Progresso Chicken, Reduced Sodium Chicken and Beef-flavored broths. Progresso’s broths are 99% fat free and contain no preservatives, artificial flavors, or MSG*! They even come in convenient, re-sealable 32oz cartons."

So here are the rules: Leave a comment mentioning one of your MUST HAVE'S for Thanksgiving Dinner. Something that it just wouldn't be Thanksgiving without. You can even leave a recipe, if that tickles your fancy, OR if you are a nin-com-poop and you just want free stuff just leave a comment saying, "PICK ME" or whatever.

Winners will be selected at random using Random.org. The deadline will be on Wednesday the 26th at 8pm, Mountain Standard time.

So, spread the word if you would like, or keep it all to your self! Oh and while you are at it, you can click on this LINK for a great discount coupon from Progresso.

GOOD LUCK!

Wow, a giveaway from Amy? Awesome!! My thanksgiving must have is fresh cranberry pomegranate sauce. It makes even a dried out turkey (I'm non naming any names) taste edible. I'll be posting a recipe on my blog shortly.

So since I didn't buy my cute spoon rest I now HAVE to have this one =). I've never really cooked much at Thanksgiving, I always head to someone elses house. SO I did buy a turkey to cook so I can have those yummy leftovers. Wish me luck. And if YOU have have a good Turkey recipe or would just like to tell me how the heck I am supposed to cook this thing, let me know =). And by the way....I totally miss you already!

My favorite holiday thing is the huge oven turkey bags. I love them, the few turkeys I have cooked in them were beautiful outside and juicy inside I just cut a little hole in the corner and poured all that yummy juice into my pan for gravy AND I got to just throw the bag away.
My favorite dessert is pumpkin crisp. I like pie but since I ate this crisp I can hardly eat pie, it is just so boring. The crisp has a bottom like pie but the top is butter, pecans, and cake mix. Anyway, I will find the recipe and post it. I bet if you try it you will want me to be the lucky winner. (Well maybe not, you are such a chef i.e. pomegranate chicken my recipe might be kind of boring.)Winner, winner, turkey dinner.

My must have for Thanksgiving is mashed potatoes and gravy. I love them, love them, and kind of want to marry them. While I was on my mission a lady used to cook the most fluffy, delightful mashed potatoes for me and I found out that her little secret was to add an egg to them along with milk and butter. They were heavenly. I look forward to Thanksgiving every year because of the mashed potatoes. I would be perfectly content mashed potatoes and gravy were the only thing served.
Pick me!

My new must-have-on-Thanksgiving thing is Apple Sausage Stuffing. It's a Pampered Chef recipe, but is SO yummy! You can google Pampered Chef Recipes and find it there. It is SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

My can't live without is a turkey that I rub a mollases, butter & pepper mix in between the skin and the turkey. Finally a juicy, flavorful turkey instead of a bland dried out one.

Wahoo...I think I barely made the deadline! I would have to say my favorite thanksgiving dinner item is the canberry sauce I just made. You just throw a package of fresh cranberries in the food processor with an orange. pulse a few times and add some sugar...about 3/4 cup. Pulse a few more times to the consistency you desire. the best part comes next...fold in some pomegranite. yum!! once you have this you will never look at a can of cranberries again.

oh, by the way...PICK ME!

sorry for the duplicate fav, I just noticed amber put the same thing...it really must be spectacular.
