Great Grandpa Atkinson!!

It is so much fun to see my kids enjoy my Grandpa Atkinson! He is such a fun grandpa. He would always take me Horseback riding, or I would go to his house to help with yard work. I don't think there was a single Dance Concert or ball game, school program or even a choir program at church, I was in without my Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson being there in the audience! I even got the chance to live with them for a while! I love them both so much! They are so wonderful and fun to be with! I don't think there has ever been a time when they have known of a need within the family, when they haven't been there to meet it! They love all of us so much, and we are so blessed to have them!

Jake has reminded me often throughout his life that his Grandpa Atkinson is his best friend, and it is no wonder! Whenever Jake is there Grandpa will sit for hours and play pool, get out his trains from when he was little and play that or his putting green and teach Jake how to put, and take him golfing. They always have to take a break in the middle for Jake and Grandpa to sit at the snack bar and talk about whatever Jake wants to over Ritz crackers and Easy Cheese! Jake also loves that there is a little soda just for him, and he gets to drink it out of a very small Coke glass. It is fun to watch my kids experience the same things I did when I was younger!

It didn't take long for Mally to pick up on the fun she can have with Grandpa. The grandkids and great grandkids must just sense how much fun he is and how much he loves them!
