The day to go home is set!

Today I talked to the nurses and found out that they are planning on sending both kids home Friday morning. They want Ryan and I to "room in" on Thursday night. That means that they will put us in a hotel type room in the NICU unit to sleep with the babies so that our first night with them on our own is a little easier and they will answer any questions we have. I personally think that they want to show us the harsh reality of what nights are with twins :) Well, I say, bring it on! I am ready!

Dawson is doing well and working up on eating. We will most likely take him home with his NG tube. He should do really well quickly after we get home and we can take it out in a week or two. After the shunt surgeries they did a CT scan to make sure that the tube was in the right place. While they were looking at it today they noticed a small area with some blood in it. They redid the scan today and the results came back to say that there is another bleed in his head. I don't know exactly what this means for him I should talk to the Neuro Surgeon tomorrow or on Monday and they can shed some light on it. We will just hope for the best.

Mallory is back to doing perfect with her feedings. She is taking about 70 MLs every bottle, which is about 2 1/2 oz. She is doing really good and is working really hard to come home. Ryan said that she is "really beautiful" with all of the tubes and things off her face. There are no suprises here. I think our little Mallory will definately have her daddy wrapped around her finger!

Both babies are wonderful. They are about 8lbs. each and looking great. We really can't wait to get them home. It is coming so fast and we are all very excited!

Talk to you Later!
