6 Hours Later.....

Ryan grew up hunting. It was just what everyone in his family did. It created a lot of fun memories for him. The first year that we moved to Utah, nearly 8 years ago, Ryan drew out for a big hunt in Utah. He went with some of his family and he got a huge Elk. Since then, he hasn't gone. We just haven't needed the meat and it hasn't worked out.

This year Ry wanted to go again. Problem is, he didn't have anyone that could go with him around here. So he decided to head up one morning and do a little hunting on his own. I am not going to lie, it freaked me out a bit.

Bad luck, it happened to be snowing the day he went. He hiked nearly straight up in shoes that were more like skies. It was a hard hike, it was cold and it was wet. He saw a couple of Elk, but with a deer tag, that didn't help him out much. The fog didn't either. He couldn't see much ahead of him, but MAN did he get some beautiful pictures!

Isn't that amazing?! I love the effect of rain and snow with fog! It leaves all of the colors so bright and beautiful!

And of course, one of these. I am pretty sure this one will make it on canvas someday! :)

6 hours of hiking and no luck hunting, but still, he is doing what he loves so it makes him happy! :)
