Our Sweet Dawson Has Returned To His Father In Heaven

August 6, 2005 - January 5, 2010

Our little angel Dawson Joseph Lindstrom was freed from the cares of this world Tuesday January 5, 2010 at 11:27 p.m. in the loving arms of his family. He was born with his twin sister on August 6, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and had many wonderful adventures living with his family in Jerome, Twin Falls, Bellevue, and Hailey, Idaho.

Dawson’s life was, and is, full of purpose—for each to discover for themselves. After over 40 surgeries and 4 ½ years of service and sacrifice, he has now sealed his love, and has laid down his life for his friends—all of you. As much as we will miss his little kisses, we look forward to being reunited with him in the resurrection.

He leaves his parents, Ryan Glen and Amy Kaye (Salisbury)Lindstrom, his favorite big brother Jakob Ryan, and his special twin sister Mallory Kayla to carry on his mission. To read about his time on this earth, please visit

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar Hills Stake Center, 3950 West Cedar Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services on Saturday. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at

Thank you all for your love and support through all of this. I can't tell you the peace that we feel. It is so very hard to be without our little D's body, but he is constantly around us. There aren't words to describe the peace that comes through the KNOWLEDGE of the Plan Of Salvation and the unimaginable amount of the love the Lord has for us as his children. We look forward, with great anticipation, to our reunion with our son.

You don't know me, but I am friends with Lindsey Wilde. She referred me to your blog awhile back. I too have a child with special needs. He has a g-tube and thought that I might be able to get some good feedback from you on your blog. I haven't followed it very closely, but have been touched by you and your positive outlook. My condolences on losing Dawson. He is in a much better place and isn't suffering anymore.

Amy and Ryan,
Our love to you both, and to Jakey and Mallory. Hard things make us stronger, and you have proven that by your 4 1/2 years of growth. Those tiny babies and the days and night of uncertainty. You have grown so much in your capacity to face life and the trials that come.
See you on Saturday.

I found your blog from a friend who read an article about you on the internet & it had a link to your blog. I hope you don't mind. On December 18th, 2009 I gave birth to twins, our son Porter, & our Daughter Paisley. On Dec 20th, our daughter passed away. They were 14 weeks premature. I can see that our situations are very similar. I to am a member of the lds faith & it has given me more strength & hope then I knew possible. My heart goes out to you in your time of loss. I can tell you and your family have touched the lives of many people through your story & your continued faith! You are touching lives of people all over. I understand the heart ache & pain of loosing a child, I pray you will have the strength to overcome the hard days!
With love,
