Wii Are The Champions

Last night a few of us went out to celebrate Maryon's birthday {HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARYON}.

We started at Desperado's in Ketchum, A FAVE! We ended up at my house playing Wii until almost midnight! Of course all of that was highlighted by Pioneer Woman's Famous Chocolate Cake [HERE], a birthday tradition, much thanks to Amanda {WE MISSED YOU}. It was FABULOUS! Stuck right to our ribs and motivated us to start training for that triathalon! And worth every last bite!

We had a BLAST with our Wii. It all started with Mario Kart. Jelina was about to be crowned champion. She had beat us all. Now for the test. Can she do it while playing with the other remote - meaning a new character and vehicle.

The switch was made. I was on the opposing team. You could FEEL the competition in the air. We couldn't let her win! Out of the corner of my eye I can see the concentration on Jelina's face and in her stance. She meant business. Whisperings from the crowd about pushing #1 (to back up) had me momentarily confused, but I could not afford to be distracted. And then reality dawned....Jelina, thinking she was doing a terrific job, was actually watching MY screen. She thought she was my guy! Her guy...well, he was on the bottom screen. Still at the starting line. Bumping furiously into the wall. Stuck!

Jelina's championship was crushed. I was crowned winner before Jelina could even get half way through her first lap. Nevermind that the title was stripped from me within the next couple of minutes by Genie, Maryon's sister!

We laughed so hard. SO FUN!
We couldn't get enough of Jelina jumping herself when her guy bounced off the mushrooms. Too funny!
And then we broke out Star Wars LIGHT SABER DUELS. It was ON! That was intense!
This one totally cracks me up. Jelina meant business and Kristin was afraid for her life!

Check out that sweet catch! The light sabers glow red and blue. I tried a little "Courtney" photography click and the light extended. However, Kristin's arm disappeared. Strange!

Check out Dawn. WHAT IS SHE DOING?! So funny! I think she meant business!
And then there was boxing.
We ended the night with a little tennis. It was SO much fun! Who knew the Wii could provide so much entertainment for a bunch of old women?!
Goodbye's were said, future plans made. We will be back, Oh yes! We will!
How could I leave this post without giving you a quick peak at some of the live action?! I can't.
HERE YOU GO!

Watch Dawn in the first 3 seconds. What is she doing! That is the funniest move!

A different view. I think this game was a favorite. So fun and SO tiring!

Maryon kept kicking Kristin's trash. I love Kristin's face when she finally beat Maryon!

Amy, I love your laugh in the background of all the video, it is so infectious.
Thanks for your help with my blog, even though I think I might be stuck with that crazy "Fall" background because I can't seem to find where I get a new one. Anyway, thanks again!
