Day 2 after surgery--
Felt really good all night(drugs).
Woke up about every 5-10 minutes itching like crazy all over(I checked the clock every time, from 10:00 pm until about 3:00 am).
Took a shower at 3:00 am thinking maybe the itching was brought on by the brownish yellowish stuff they slather all over you before they slice into you.
Determined that brownish yellowish stuff was not the problem.
Still feeling really good, even though I'm waking up itching every 5 minutes(those 5 minutes were heaven).
Amy calls the surgeon at 9:00 am, he says "STOP TAKING THE DRUGS". Apparently I'm allergic to the good stuff.
I stop taking the drugs.
I get nausea pretty bad and actually puke once(first time in maybe a decade).
Amy goes to Albertsons and gets new pain meds at 1:00 pm.
I take one at 2:00--nothing.
I take another one at 6:00--nothing.
I take another one at 8:00--nothing.
Amy called the Doctor and the doctor said "No more meds are available for your head"(although it wasn't really my head, and he didn't really rhyme).
He says to go to the ER and they will give me some Percoset as a last resort, but they want to check vitals and stuff.
We were just getting babies to bed, so we decide to bag the ER, I'll suffer.
I take 2 more of whatever the last pills he gave me were at 10:00 and sit down to blog the whole thing.
That's about it. Anyway, either the drugs are finally doing something, or I'm just really tired, but I'm going to bed either way.

Hey, on the bright side you no longer have a gallyplatter. That is exciting news indeed.
Antihistimines do WONDERS for itchy skin :)
Am I the only one that finds Ryan's drug induced post a little disturbing? What's the end of the story?
Is he still itching?1
No mom, I don't find it disturbing... I find it STINKING HILARIOUS!
OK, so Ryan is doing well! He is not itching anymore and is feeling back to normal a bit.
He basically just had to tough it out without any meds.
