Well, Mom and Dawson are still in Utah at Primary Childrens. I guess most brain surgeons use a shunt that is not adjustable. Dr. Walker is one of the few that use a type that is adjustable. Well, it's a darn good thing he does. They've had to adjust his shunt about a quadrabazillion times. They think they finally got it right--not too much pressure, not too little. They will do a CT scan in the morning, and if all looks well, they'll kick him out. I would say 'send him home', but they don't really deal with actually getting him home. Sure, they'll fly all the way to Twin Falls to get him and bring him to Primary Childrens, but once they're done with him--'pleasure doin' business with you, now get out'. I guess we're on our own as far as getting him home. You would think if you spend $2,000,000 with a company, they would go the extra mile and buy you a 'round trip' ticket. Oh well, I guess we don't really need a full medical team to accompany him for the trip home. Thanks so much for all the offers to bring them home. One way or the other we'll get them back here--only to return in a week for a follow-up with Dr. Walker. So goes our lives. Anyway...thanks again for everything.
(I'm kidding about the 'round-trip' thing--after all, I guess they have saved both our babies lives...a few dozen times...each...so far...)
