Good News!

Well just a brief update on the babies. They are both doing wonderful. Dawson is better that ever and all of the U nurses are loving his chubby cheeks. When they sent him away he was still in the 2lb area and now he is just over 4. That makes a huge difference when you are so small! He is now totally off of any form of Oxygen and is resting. Apparently both babies needed to sleep and take a break as much as I did. Their nurses said that all they have done for the last 2 days is sleep.

Mallory is doing great. They have been giving her caffeine to help her remember to breathe. They stopped that today. It will take a week to get out of her system. That means that next Friday (conference weekend) we will begin counting days. She has to go 7 days with out having an A & B spell. That stands for Apnea and Bradycardia. That means holding her breath and because of the held breath it causes her heart rate to slow way down. This usually happens just because the babies are premature and they will grow out of it. If they go 7 days without one of these spells that means that they are over 90% likely to never have one again. So we will all start counting. When she hits 7 days and if she is eating well. She will come home!!

So it is a great day with great news! I will be able to go to the hospital tomorrow and I look forward to seeing them again! Ryan is on his way here, he misses me to much to stay away I guess :) which is good because I really miss my boys! I will see if I can get him to do a post this weekend. I know he is fun to read!

Talk to ya later!
Love, Amy
