This is a HUGE milestone for us. There was a time when Dawson would take everything by mouth. One day he just stopped totally, thus the feeding tube. He hasn't really let us put ANYTHING, but a binki, in his mouth for quite a long time.
We went to feeding therapy this week and just decided to go for it! HE LOVED IT! He really did such a good job! He ate pieces of a banana and some Hawiian Delight for Shelley, we were so excited!
Our new goal with therapy is to get at least 4 spoonfuls a day. If he is loving it we will give him whatever he wants, but if he really isn't, then at least 4. Later that day, this is what we got........

WOW! It has been over a year since we have had this! We were very excited! Dawson was happy and enjoyed every bit of his Apples and Plums! Good Job little man!
Since then, he just hasn't been AS into it, but he still tries really hard and we keep working on it!
