OUR NEW PAD!

Well, after 3 long years of making the 1-1 1/2 hour drive to and from work, Ryan finally decided he wanted to make the move. We hadn't looked for a place to move into in the Sun Valley area because when we were first moving to Idaho we saw that rent was completely & ridiculously high.

Aparently, now was the time to make our move. Our lease was up at the end of May, and although we didn't really plan on moving for a while, we got really tired of the kids that were teaching Jake bad things and the environment of the apartments, not to mention the drive and the time Ryan was spending away from home. He was getting up at 4:30am every morning and leaving by 5:30pm. Then he would get home at about 7pm or later and have dinner then the kids were in bed by 8 and we followed shortly after so he could get up and do it again. It was really wearing on him. He has made a goal to be "up North" at least 4 days a week and that was really killing him with 2-3 hours of driving everyday.

Ryan decided to just look at what houses were renting for in this area and found that not much had changed. However, there was this one. What a good deal! We would pay the same to rent in Twin Falls! When we walked through the first time we immediately knew that we wanted this to be our new home and we felt like it was the right move.

We don't know if we will ever buy a house in this area. This house is actually on the market for $430,000. The cheapest house Ryan has found for sale in this area is a run down little trailer house, selling for just $275,000. IT IS UNREAL! The Market is also really slow up here. Houses are taking about a year or more to sell. The owners of our house don't expect this one to go anytime soon. If we make it until October without it selling we know we will be here for at least a year. They don't sell much during the winter because of all the snow.

Anyway, we are really happy to be here. Our next door neighbor has a 5 yr. old little boy and Jake is SOOOOOOO excited! We just want you all to know that there is plenty of room for you to come visit! So don't be strangers!! Posted by Picasa
