This one will be short. I just wanted to let you all know that we are doing great. Dawson is more himself and is laughing and smiling quite a bit, which is so nice!
The surgery to put his shunt back in is on Wednesday. If you would like to fast with us, we will be fasting that day. They will be going in to his tummy to see if they can put the catherter there. If they can, and if the shunt does not get infected within the next few days after surgery, Dawson will most likely not ever need a shunt revision! That would be such a great thing!! We are hoping that his tummy has healed enough and that the fluid will be reabsorbed through his bowels easily! Oh, that would be soooo good!!
We are thinking, in answer to Courtney's question, that we should be able to go back home next Mondayish. We have to see what happens with Dawson healing, but most likely he will be released before Sunday and we will stick around for a couple of days, just to be sure!
