Look at my cute little man in his hospital jammies! Poor baby! The good news is that this wasn't brought on by an emergency just growth. The bad news was that they ended up replacing EVERYTHING! We were really hoping that they would only have to mess with the catherter that goes into his heart, but the valve in his brain had to be replaced again too. The good news, again, is that if we would have waited another month or so to have the surgery done we would have had an emergency surgery and Dawson would have had to suffer some serious headaches because of the shunt being completely blocked off. We will settle for what we got!
Look at his cute little foot, in his cute little hospital sockies! He is just so tiny!
Dawson did really well with the surgery, other than exceptionally more pain than normal, I think because he is getting older, he did really well and I took him home the next day. Isn't that crazy! They go into his brain and his heart and send him home the next day! CRAZY! He did pretty well, and has managed to hold on to a bit more muscle strength than usual. He is really showing so many signs of improvement with holding his head up! He is a hard little worker!

Poor guy! We are sad for him here, but we know he is a tough guy.
Man, I want you guys to see him! He is so much fun now!
He is the toughest little guy EVER! The general surgeon asked me, "has he had to have any revisions yet?" When I told him he has had 23, he almost fell out of his chair. I mean he was totally shocked. I think Dawson's case is a bit unheard of.

I remember when it was a struggle after every revision, so this is great that he's bouncing back so fast!
