Dawson catchin'a few zzzzzz's(note the sunglasses in the background--
yeah, he's coooool)
Now she's REALLY a girl with the bow and all
Mama givin' the little guy a little love. Note the (2) wristbands
(heheheh). Out of 40 or so babies in the NICU, we've got the only twins.
She's a real Mama's girl(and I can't say that I blame her)
Wow, today was kind of a hard day. The doctors came in and prepared us for the worst--again. Dawson is requiring more help than is comfortable to keep him stable, but he seems to be doing okay. He's not getting any worse at this point, but he's not making leaps and bounds either. He's hangin' in there, and we know he'll pull through okay. Even knowing all will be well in the end, it's a real rollercoaster ride getting there.
Mallory is doing great! Tonight she was doing well enough that they opened the bubble and let Amy give her a kiss on the head. Remember how I was saying that she was trying to open her eyes earlier? Well, tonight she did it! She was a little sedated, so it took some work, but she popped 'em open for a few seconds to say hello. It was a great way to end the night after the rough news this morning. There must be a lot we're supposed to be learning from Dawson. He's a tough little guy, and we know he'll kick this thing. The doctors say his white blood cells are doing thier job fighting the infection, so he's doing all he can. You can't ask for much more than that!
Well, it's late, and we didn't get the sleep we had hoped for earlier, so we're outta here for now. Here's a few pictures for you viewing pleasure(in (2) different posts).
Love,
Us
